Ale: First of all, I would thank you for your interest in RedSka project. Thanks you and all the people supporting our music.
What’s new? There are busy days of work and of music, fighting everyday against this political system and against this fuckin’ capitalism…
So, we’re working on the “Riot”…”La Rivolta”….

La Rivolta is the most recent single for RedSka, did you prepare the new album for 2012?

We’re working on a new album, “LA RIVOLTA” (“THE RIOT” in english). It will be out in the first months of 2012 and the title-track (the new single) is out since the end of october. The single “LA RIVOLTA” is a preview of a new sound of the band. We are matured, we are even more angry against the system. Even our  experiences across the Europe have helped us to create a music impact, as a monster in “Armageddon style”…
We are so happy for the result of these studio sessions. I think “LA RIVOLTA” is the album more rapresentative of the band in the last 10 years.
The lyrics will be more socially and politically committed; no love song in this album. We are very aware of who we are, also about our social and political ideas
We are really curious to know what our fans will think of this record.
Meanwhile, it’s out “RUDE LEAGUE” ep, split-album with The Offenders, published in Italy (Kob Records), Germany (Mad Butcher Rec.) and Spain (RedStar73 Rec.). The EP contains some previews of the new album.

Tell me the top 10 bands for you

In this 10 years, I’ve played with RedSka on great stages with big artists, my “idols”…a big emotion for me because, first of all, it’s a big honour to play with these bands making the history of the music. Then, because they made ??us congratulations on our show….this is a big satisfaction for us!
The “top bands” should be also the “the true bands”, with “true” people and musicians believing  in what they do…and a true band is for me a top band…
So this is a random list…
Manu Chao, Ire Revoltes, Banda Bassotti, Los Fastidos, Caparezza, Modena City Ramblers, SKa-P, The Offenders, 99 posse, No Relax…
Of course, carved in my heart: Marley, Clash, Aitken and much more…

If you were stranded on an island, what would be the 3 things that you would take along.

Of cours my girlfriend, then my dogs.
Since it would be impossible to bring with me all my records, I could bring on the island an mp3 player with my favourite music. Or maybe, I could make some percussion-set with coco-nuts to make a kind of music…

Do you think Berlusconi is better than Chuck Norris?

Berlusconi is the italian Chuck Norris…but he’s more goofy, small, viscid…he’s also fight aganist the communists…
For real, I hate Chuck Norris, it was my nightmare when i was young, as Berlusconi today!

Speakin about the tours..where you feel best?

We have always been better outside the Italy, it’s even amazing, everywhere…In Italy it’s too much difficult to find venues for the concerts but we need to thanks all the people organizing the concerts around our country.

I know you had a pretty long tour with Rabbia e Liberta, now you have something new in plan?

That’s true…the “RABBIA E LIBERTA’” tour (and the former “LE MIE PRIGIONI” tour) was a long and unforgettable tour across the Europe, maybe the greatest tour of our history: great stages, amazing venues, great audience…maybe we made everything that such an “undeground” band as us could do…
At the end of December we’ll be in Germany for the “RUDE LEAGUE” mini-tour with The Offenders (from 28th to 31st of December in Germany) and the “LA RIVOLTA TOUR” will start in 2012, promotional tour for our new “RUDE LEAGUE” Ep

What does Il Duca do beside RedSka, what are your hobbies?

Beside the RedSka project, Il Duca is a worker in a big store selling stuff for plumbers!
As hobby, I love the carp-fishing, I love staying for days or weeks in the wild, respecting the nature and, at the same time, the fishes, because I’m a supporter of “catch&release”. I’m so proud because I have never killed a fish.

Do you have some new collaborations for the new material? I know that on the last album you have a lot of big names like: Los Fastidios, Banda Bassotti…

We like collaborating with others musicians and artists of italian and international scene.
As preview for MPTY Zine I can reveal the featuring of the new album…Kino, lead-voice of the Arpioni ska-band, the powerful voice of Micky from NO RELAX (performing in a big-tunes cover-song), the great DJ and punk-singer Rude HI-FI, front-man of the amazing LA MAQUINA band. Last but not least, you can find in the album the featuring of our italian friend (but now based in Germany) Valerio, The Offenders front-man, a great ska band.
The previous collaboration with Offenders is “RUDE LEAGUE”, the split-album out now, and the tour across the Germany at the end of december.

Casian (3 Ceasuri Rele): Cateva cuvinte despre Raizing Hell?

Livia (Raizing Hell):Raizing Hell este ceea ce noi consideram a fi prima trupa de horrorpunk din Romania.Existam din toamna lui 2010,iar responsabilii cu acest lucru sunt Vlad  (chitara), Vlash (bass), Oly (tobe), si yours truly (Liv – chitara si voce).Influentele noastre deriva din old school punk,din filme horror,si din sound-ul unor trupe precum The Misfits, Horrorpops,The Plasmatics, The Creepshow, Demented Are Go,Blitzkid si altele. Desi fiecare dintre noi isi are propriile influente muzicale in afara de punk si psychobilly, uneori chiar destul de departate de acestea, (spre exemplu printre altele Vlad asculta si psychedelic rock/progressive,iar Vlash asculta de la psychobilly pana la metale obscure)in Raizing Hell am gasit cu totii un punct comun.Raizing Hell a aparut din dorinta noastra de a canta ce ne place,de a impartasi lumii muzica noastra si nu in ultimul rand,de a ne distra,cause there’s no better fun like old school rock’n'roll.

Ce anume te-a determiat sa intemeiezi o trupa de horrorpunk?

E ceva de povestit.. Ideea cu trupa de horrorpunk a aparut prin 2002,aveam cam 14 ani si nu aveam idee care este faza cu horrorpunkul, ca asa se cheama,ce vrea el sau orice altceva inafara de faptul ca suna foarte misto,si ca imbina doua dintre cele mai tari chestii ever din punctul meu de vedere,adica muzica punk si filmele/povestile horror. Facusem rost in sfarsit de o chitara electrica de vreo luna si eram hell-bent sa imi fac o trupa,desi nici cu chitara nu stiam foarte bine ce se face,inafara de faptul ca si ea suna foarte misto pe power chorduri. Printr-un prieten l-am gasit pe Eugen, actualul basist din Insect Politics, care nici el nu stia sa cante la nimic,asa ca a preluat postul de vocal.Dupa cateva saptamani s-a hotarat sa treaca la bass,si-a procurat un bass, a invatat cam cum se numesc corzile si ce se poate face pe ele, am mai gasit in scurt timp oameni la tobe si voce si ne-am apucat de treaba. Care treaba a insemnat trupa Somewhat, multe coveruri Misfits,si cateva dupa Iggy Pop si Sisters of Mercy.Pe vremea aia repetam intr-o pivnita,un fost abator de fapt,apartinand Andreei,vocalista noastra de pe atunci.Era prielnic pentru orice,horror-related. Am avut vreo 2 concerte prin licee dupa care ne-am dus fiecare pe alte drumuri.De atunci am tot fost prin diverse trupe,de la punk, alternativ pana la metal,cel mai adesea ca si chitarista,tot cautand o trupa pe gustul meu. Prin 2007 am fondat impreuna cu Vlash si Oly o trupa de punk rock cu ceva influente grunge,moment in care am decis sa preiau si vocalul, pe langa chitara.Era un fel de Danzig meets Alice in Chains,dar dupa un EP si un prim concert ne-am hotarat sa nu mai continuam,dat fiind ca eu mai activam in alte 2 trupe si nu prea ma descurcam cu timpul.Una din celelalte doua trupe era Howling Saints (post-punk/gothic rock),care era cam cel mai aproape de ce as fi vrut sa cant,si a urmat cu ei o perioada foarte rock’n'roll, ca sa zic asa. Dupa ce trupa a devenit inactiva, am fondat impreuna cu Vlash si Paul, tobarul de la Insect Politics, trupa The Undertakers, care a fost cea mai apropiata ca si concept de actualul Raizing Hell,dar din diverse motive nu am continuat in formula asta.In toti anii cat am fost prin diverse trupe, am avut suficient timp sa ascult tot felul de muzici,sa experimentez diverse genuri, si sa ajung la concluzia ca it was horrorpunk all along, ceea ce as fi vrut sa fac, ca si sound, concept, mesaj,tot pachetul.Si cand m-a izbit revelatia asta,l-am contactat pe Oly si i-am propus sa facem cea mai zgomotoasa si rokenroll trupa in care am cantat vreodata, numita initial Dancing on Your Grave, si redenumita ulterior, dupa ce ni s-au alaturat Vlad din Howling Saints si Vlash, Raizing Hell.Restul e,sau va fi,istorie.

Ce parere ai despre ce se intampla in tara?

Mi se pare ca in ultimul timp incepe sa se lege ceva.Este incurajator ca in ultimii ani au venit in Romania formatii de psychobilly si punk rock precum Silver Shine,Al & The Black Cats, The Hellfreaks, Kitty in a Casket, Devilish Presley, Living Dead Army,Tazmanian Devils, The Hepcats,(profit de ocazia asta ca sa-ti spun din nou, faci o treaba grozava cu Trei Ceasuri Rele Timisoara, keep up the great work!)ca aceste trupe pot veni aici sa sustina un concert in fata unui numar decent de oameni,ca din ce in ce mai multa lume a auzit de aceste genuri de muzica si ca si la noi au inceput sa existe trupe de rockabilly sau horrorpunk, precum Cat Rhythm din Cluj si noi,cu Raizing Hell.Inceputul e greu. Intr-adevar, exista un foarte mare decalaj,de cativa zeci de ani buni, intre ce se intampla in afara cu scena de punk/psychobilly/horrorpunk/rockabilly si ce de-abia acum de cativa ani incepe sa se intample la noi,dar cred ca cu timpul acest decalaj se poate diminua.Sigur ca totul evolueaza, iar faptul ca exista deja in afara multe trupe de psychobilly sau horrorpunk este pe de o parte un lucru bun pentru trupele noi care vor sa abordeze aceste genuri,fiindca au deja o baza solida din care se pot inspira.Sigur ca acest lucru poate fi privit si prin prisma faptului ca “totul a fost facut deja”, dat fiind ca primele trupe din orice gen de muzica sunt deschizatoare de drumuri,ele fiind primele care stabilesc caracteristicile genului, dar personal consider asta un avantaj. Totul se reinventeaza, iar faptul ca si la noi a inceput aceasta deschidere spre aceste genuri muzicale cred ca este un inceput favorabil atat pentru aparitia mai multor trupe locale de acest gen,cat si pentru cresterea numarului de oameni care sustin scena.
La noi, problema cu concertele underground este ca de multe ori aceastea nu beneficiaza de un public foarte numeros,dar asta este valabil cam la toate genurile de muzica in underground.Poate cu timpul asta se va schimba,cand lumea isi va da seama ca nu conteaza de cat timp exista trupa respectiva,daca ea are ceva de spus,si o sa fie mai deschisa in a merge la concertele trupelor locale,care de foarte multe ori suna exact ca trupele cunoscute,mari,pentru care s-ar duce si ar plati de 3 ori mai mult pretul unui bilet. Oricum,fiecare trupa sau gen isi are clar partea de fani die-hard care apar pe la fiecare concert,si eu as zice ca merita.Chiar daca am canta in fata a 20 de oameni sau in fata a 200, daca atmosfera este ok si se simte ca oamenii aia au venit acolo ca sa ne asculte muzica si sa se simta bine impreuna cu noi,merita.

Cateva dintre trupele favorite?

Lista ar fi destul de lunga,dar ca se enumar cateva all time favorites, ar fi Motorhead,The Plasmatics, Misfits, Nekromantix, Horrorpops, Demented Are Go,Mad Sin, The Cramps, Siouxsie and the Banshees,Blitzkid,Calabrese,PJ Harvey,Ramones, Iggy Pop, Sisters of Mercy si The Meteors.

Ce te inspira sa compui?

In general, lucruri care m-au impresionat intr-un anumit moment,care mi s-au intamplat mie sau altora,sau pe care le-am vazut/auzit/citit si care mi se par ca ar merita sa fie povestite intr-un cantec. Pentru Raizing Hell, inspiratia vine in general din filme sau povestiri horror,pe care incerc sa le repovestesc in melodii.De obicei, totul incepe cu un vers sau cateva acorduri care imi tot suna in cap, si de obicei in momentul in care incep sa le pun pe hartie totul se leaga. Iar daca mie imi ramane in cap cantecul respectiv,inseamna ca e ok si ca exista o mare posibilitate sa le ramane in cap si celor care il asculta.

Cum vezi viitorul? In particular si in general.

Viitorul,zici..Destul de luminos,sau cel putin sunt eu intr-o pasa optimista in ultimul timp.General vorbind, sper ca scena de punk/psychobilly de pe la noi sa devina mai numeroasa,atat din punct de vedere al publicului,cat si al trupelor,si mai sper ca trupele underground de orice gen sa fie mai apreciate atat de publicul autohton cat si de de patronii barurilor.Desi esti la inceput,nu inseamna ca nu ai ceva de spus,si nu inseamna ca nu vei ajunge ca headlinerii pe care multi vin sa ii vada,sarind insa uneori peste opening act.Dar cu timpul cred ca si asta se va remedia. Este clar ca sunt intr-o pasa deosebit de optimista.
Pentru mine personal, viitorul inseamna cat mai multe concerte cu Raizing Hell. Avem multe planuri,incluzand un album full length si un turneu national,care planuri vor fi incepute anul viitor. Plus  faima mondiala.Hell,make that intergalactica.Intentionam ca,candva,sa putem fi intr-adevar,The Horrorpunks From Outer Space.

Cateva dintre filmele preferate?

Si aici lista ar fi lunga, dar in principiu sunt doua categorii de filme care imi plac, in prima intra filmele “serioase”, de genul Shining (primul,cel al lui Kubrick) Silence of the Lambs,Pan’s Labyrinth, Event Horizon,Antichrist,Perfume: The Story of a Murderer,Blue Velvet, Psycho,The Fly, Texas Chainsaw Massacre si altele, iar in a doua intra filme vechi, B-rated SF si horror,care de cele mai multe ori functioneaza pe principiul they’re so bad they’re good, de genul Forbidden Planet, Plan 9 From Outer Space, Mark of The Vampire,Bride of the Monster, I Burry the Living,Killer Klowns From Outer Space, The Screaming Skull si multe asemanatoare,care de multe ori sunt criticate de cei care le iau prea in serios si care se asteapta la tot felul de efecte speciale si alte chestii,judecandu-le prin prisma posibilitatilor cinematografice din prezent si ratand esentialul, adica distractia.

Literatura?

All time favorites ar fi Stephen King, Clive Barker, John Saul, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Hermann Hesse, H.P.Lovecraft, Philip K.Dick si E.A.Poe.

Pogo, wrecking sau headbanging?

Wrecking in the pit, headbanging on stage. Ar fi de preferat si pogo on stage, dar cand vom canta pe scene a caror marime sa ne permita,in momentul de fata asta se soldeaza cu tot felul de chestii, incurcat in cabluri,daramat tobe,cazut de pe scena si altele,care au si ele farmecul lor,dar pot dauna showului.

Ai vreun criminal preferat?

Clar, Ed Gein si Charles Manson. Ed Gein pentru factorul creativitate ca sa spun asa, iar Manson mi-a devenit simpatic dupa ce in liceu mi-am dat atestatul in engleza avandu-l pe el ca subiect, si am aflat ca faimoasele crime de la Cielo Drive au fost declansate de dorinta lui Manson de a se razbuna pe Terry Melcher, care a refuzat sa ii produca muzica. Acum, nu cred ca personal as merge atat de departe daca cineva ar refuza sa imi produca muzica,dar hell,pot empatiza cu motivul omului!

Misfits cu sau fara Danzig?

Cu Danzig. Imi plac multe piese si de pe American Psycho sau Famous Monsters, dar cand ma gandesc la Misfits, prima chestie care imi vine in minte este vocea lui Danzig.Si personal prefer sound-ul Misfits din perioada cu Danzig celui de acum.

Cum a fost sa cantati cu cei de la the Silver Shine? Cum va primeste publicul?

A fost foarte tare, atmosfera ok, public destul de numeros si supportive, iar cei de la Silver Shine au facut un show bestial,ca de obicei. Am mai avut ocazia sa impartim scena cu ei in 2007 parca,in Fire,cand au venit prima data in Romania, pe vrema cand cantam cu Howling Saints, si si atunci a fost un concert reusit.Sunt foarte relaxati pe scena, energici si stiu sa faca atmosfera si sa comunice cu publicul,lucru esential pentru un show reusit.
Pana acum reactiile publicului nostru au fost foarte bune, avem deja un fanbase micut,niste oameni foarte tari care vin mereu la concertele noastre si care ne apreciaza muzica, iar cu timpul speram ca numarul lor sa creasca.

VIII Edizione per il Tributo Italiano a Joe Strummer, che ancora una
volta vuole intende ricordare l’indimenticabile leader dei Clash
scomparso del dicembre del 2002. Questa volta la sede del Tributo sarà
il MU di Parma, associazione culturale emergente nel territorio
emiliano, che ha accolto con entusiasmo la nostra serata in memoria di
Joe. Come sempre la gestione della serata, assolutamente autonoma da
tutti i punti di vista, è affidata ai siti web Radioclash.it e
Punkadeka.it. Ci teniamo sempre a sottolineare  che l’evento è reso
possibile anche grazie alla fondamentale collaborazione delle band
partecipanti e di un nutrito numero di amici – volontari. Li
ringraziamo sin d’ora per l’impegno e la devozione manifestata in
tutti questi anni. Un grazie particolare va a Monica Lasagni, giovane
autrice dell’art in locandina, e a Domingo per il lavoro grafico ed il
supporto nella promozione dell’evento.

Il Tributo Italiano a Joe Strummer 2011, come potrete vedere anche
dalle band partecipanti, segna un netto ritorno alle radici, dove è il
suono della strada a prendere il sopravvento: street punk, Oi!, r’n’r,
patchanka meticcia. E’ il segno dei tempi, perché le strade sono
tornate e torneranno ad essere affollate per scelta o costrizione, per
ideale o fame. Burning Streets, la rabbia sale ed il vaso è colmo,
anzi, stracolmo.

In piena tradizione Clash, il Tributo Italiano a Joe Strummer andrà
anche ad esplorare le nuove subculture, le nuove tendenze musicali e
culturali. Da Londra la musica dubstep ed il grime verranno introdotti
da Lorenzo Fe, autore del bel libro “Londra Zero Zero”, che ha vissuto
nell’East London ed ha incrociato alcuni personaggi di questa nuova
scena. La figura di Joe Strummer verrà ricordata anche grazie alla
presenza dello scrittore e giornalista Chris Salewicz , autore della
più completa biografia su Joe mai scritta finora : “Redemption Song”.
Collaborerà con lui a tal scopo Andrea Merendelli (autore dell’intensa
piece teatrale Clash To Me). La dubstep diventerà invece la struttura
portante del DJ Set del londinese Matt Green, che proporrà la sua
performance al termine dei concerti. Da segnalare la mostra di CLASH
Memorabilia curata da Tiziano Gerli  e Cristiano ‘Ruvido’ Baldo.

Per quanto riguarda le band partecipanti viene assolutamente
confermato il mix di gruppi giovani e veterani dei palchi, a
testimonianza del legame profondo che riesce a tenere insieme diverse
generazioni nel nome di Joe Strummer , dei Clash e del loro modo di
vivere musica e sociale. In questa edizione, come anche in passato,
sono presenti gruppi storici che hanno impresso il loro marchio sul
punk e sul combat rock italiano. Un elemento importante che ci riempie
di orgoglio e ci conferma quanto siano profonde le nostre radici
attitudinali e culturali.

REDSKA: Hello Mircea, everything is alright, we’re very busy at the moment, the summer of 2011 will be a very important one for us.

I heard some news about Redska. Are you preparing something new??

That’s correct, we’re in fact working at our third album. After a period of approximately one year, during which we dedicated our energies writing new songs and keeping track of the pre-production of the album, we’re now actually in studio (Atomic Studio) to record it. You’ll be able to listen to the first new songs from winter 2011, when we’ll release the first single. We’re positive it won’t disappoint you. 

How are things going with One Step records?

The relationship with our label is fairly peculiar, as it’s managed by a part of RedSka themselves, namely me in collaboration with Ale Il Duca (singer of RedSka and founder of One Step Records). This is quite useful in helping us to coordinate the promotional work and be sure the band initiatives are given the right importance. In general, this year One Step is busy with quite a few project, for example NH3 (ska-core) and Jolebalalla (reggae roots) that are having a good reception, we’re happy.

About RedSka how things going with concerts?

The gigs are being great and the audience is very receptive and supportive. Obviously the people that listens to us supports us both coming at the concerts and buying the merchandise. Outside of Italy (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Croatia, etc.) the scene is very very receptive and attentive towards bands as we are, but also in Italy we’re having  increasing support.

I know that you are listening a lot of great bands, what new bands do you recommend me?

It’s true, playing with RedSka and working at the label we get to hear very many different bands, live and recorded. I’d recommend you NH3, Jolebalalla, The Offenders, Irie Revoltes and Russkaja.

Please make me a top 10 of your favorite bands

This is really a very difficult question to be answered.. but let’s try. Without a particular order I’d say: Bob Marley, Ska-P, Manu chao, Irie Revoltes, The Clash, Los Fastidios, Banda Bassotti, Mad Caddies, Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, Skatalites, Specials, Byron Lee, Ramones. But I’m sure I’ve overlooked too many others.

How was Rabbia e Liberta tour?

The “Rabbia e Libertà” tour is coming to the final stages. It’s been 4 years of uninterrupted tour, and I have to say that in these years, we drove loads of kilometers, played in great places and met a lot of great people having fun at our concerts. The outcome of this tour has been really great.

I saw a lot of newer bands began to approach ska or punk .. more or less good .. what do you think of the new bands?

In any case it is very very important that there are always new bands that are committed to ska, punk and reggae, musical genres that have a message of freedom and fight against prejudices in their core. We think it is always good and we also like to advice anyone of the young and new bands we meet: Keep believing in what you do 101% and keep trying, because there are always many difficulties and setbacks, and you need to be very motivated, committed and coherent to play these genres and to play in certain settings!

How much weighs in redska politics? Is redska a political band, and why?

RedSka are no doubt a “political” band or, better, a band that makes of his social and political belief a priority. We are musicians first of all, and we have the possibility to communicate with the aid of our music certain messages to a broad range of people. We chose with determination to carry the message of the struggles against fascisms, racisms and sexisms, towards the creation of a better world, with more freedom and less prejudices.
Artists singing only of love, sun and happiness  are already enough, we leave them with the majors.

Fra, please tell me what do you know about Romania and the scene over here?

We’ve played in many countries in Europe, unfortunately not in Romania yet. Hence, we have no first-hand experience of Romanian musical scene, but given what we hear and see through the web, it seems to us there is quite an interesting scene developing.

Mirceone vs. Fra august 2011

Copasetics are just perfect for this summer for hopping on the beach. 5 friends formed a band in 2009 in York (UK) they make a mix from traditional ska with some 2 tone elements and of course new school sound. Although the EP has a long name The Stark Comprehension Of Life In The Final State Of Decay, it’s a must for all the genere fans, too bad that only has 4 tracks. You can compare with bands like: Random Hand, Sonic Boom Six, New Riot, Mad Caddies or Mustard Plug. This EP is like a bomb of energy and skanking in the summer night with your friends. I reccomend: Phantom Signals and like a minus: EP it’s too short. Cheers!

MPTY ZINE: Hey. What’s up?

NH3: Hi guys! We’re currently recording and producing our new album! We are very proud and excited for what we have done until now and what we are still doing! We have recorded our second album during the last spring and the sound obtained is the one expected! We are currently working on other projects, including one video and the promotion of our single. So everything’s ok!

NH3 is ammonia formula … why this name change?

The passage from Ammoniaka to NH3 is meant to underline the change,naturally happened, of our sound and lyrics. The new album deals with topics in a more direct and determined way, talking about important political/social issues. Also the music itself has changed a lot. The ska/punk has left to let the coming of a faster and effective ska/core, with some influences of reggae or punk/hc as well. We enjoyed to try different sounds. The change in the name has been done in accordance with our label One Step Records and it represents also the growth of the band from a young one to a grown and mature one under all aspects.

You released the first single, are you preparing something new?

Yes, our new single is out (the first under the new name NH3). We would like to remember you that on our website www.nh3.it and on the label one www.onesteprecords.it you can freely download it. For now we are focusing on the promotion of our new album (you can find the video promo on our Youtube channel www.youtube.com/nh3skacore). Other things that are already scheduled are the release of our new album (end of the summer) and the realization of the video of our new single “Heroes without a face”.

Are you starting some gigs to promote you?

Yes, we are currently on the road from the beginning of the summer to promote the single, even if the proper tour that our agency Make a Dream is organizing will begin at the same time of the releasing of the new album.

How people have received new single? are you happy?

They are a lot of people have downloaded (for free!) the single and we are very proud of that. We are very happy about how things are going and all the compliments we are receiving from the people that have already heard the single. We are very satisfied.

What is the atmosphere at One Step Records?

At One Step Records we feel at home. We have a mutual friendly and respectful relationship with all of them. We have the opportunity to work with very kind and experienced people, that are always available to help all the bands of the rooster. From a lot of years now they have been working in the best way to promote new alternative bands, their interests and we have never doubted about their professionalism. We are very happy to release our second album again with One Step Records.

Tell me some bands that influenced NH3 sound

Very difficult question! I would say BIG D AND THE KIDS TABLE, REEL BIG FISH, CLASH, IRIE REVOLTES, RANCID, BOUNCING SOULS, FLATLINERS, REDSKA, SUBLIME, RX BANDITS, RISE AGAINST and lots of more. We are listening to different type of music, we love music and what we finally play is a mix of everything we are listening to.

Give me an example of a band that you want to do one featuring

We strongly believe on the featuring. We really appreciate the more famous band that want to help emerging bands. We have already achieve a very big dream by having in our new single the voice of Olly, ex singer of the Shandon (now lead voice in THE FIRE band). If we started to play it has been because of bands like the Shandon, and we are still very happy to hear our songs performed with other people from other bands. Our relationship with them means a lot to us. One unrealistic dream of ours would be hearing one of our song performed by Joe Strummer. We don’t know if he can hear us now, we really miss him, and he together with the clash has changed the life of at least half of the members of our band.

Where do you see NH3 in about 10 years?

I can’t answer to this question. The only thing i can say is that we will continue to work for our passion, for what is our life.

SIR REG

Sir Reg has surprised me since the first audition, a Celtic punk as mother’s home (in Irleand of course), maybe for the fact that the singer is Irish.Band was known as The Barcrawlers and played a good piece of time by various Irish pub sites in Scandinavia. This Is Sir Reg is their new material that will make your appetite for beer and whiskey, but good to listen with friends Friday night. The band has a lot of influential names such as Pogues, Cash, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly and The Dubliniers with catchy choruses, violin, Banjos and appetite for dancing.

ALWAYS WAR

Always War succesfully complete the hardcore scene form Sweeden. The band was formed in 2007 inspired by bands like: Agnostic Front, Madball, Cro Mags or Merauder. Vengeance Prevail is the new material released from A Poor Excuse, a powerfull mix of hardcore and metal with some punk elements. This album has everything from energy, to hate, mosh pit parts, hardcore attitude in your face, and full of force, from old to new school all with love. You will certain not regret if you’ll try these guys. Recommend: These Are The Ways.

BAD DREAMS ALWAYS

Move on you mother fuckers, these guys will smash you on the ground. Bad Dreams Always brings 8 tracks of pure hate and anger, they make a brutal hatecore since 1988. In the early 1990′s these guys were one of the most popular bands in the underground sweedish scene, with a sound reminiscent of S.O.D. and D.R.I. they bring energy and aggressiveness to the full. 20 Centuries Of Hate it’s the latest relase,a crazy, hateful, with a strong social message album, full of rage. After 20 years of activity BDA have enough force to make you destroy everything. I recommend: The Bible.

DAMIEN

Damien is a Swedish group formed somewhere in 1999. The band has a border vision on music, they have a solid musical background and have influences from melodic metal, punk, blues, rock n roll and jazz. Kings Of Rock, Queen Of Roll brings 5 tracks with an exceptional voice from Michelle (the lead singer), and has been released in the fall of 2010 at their own label: Grammofoninstitutet and has been promoted by a very succesful video for the song We Are The Kids. Currently the band is in studio for the first full lenght, which be released sometime in early 2012, and of course take their time for some concerts in Sweedn and Germany. A lot of influences and a lot of good music with feeling.

MOTHER MISERY

Mother Misery formed in 2004 in Sweeden and Standing Alone is the latest album, 11 tracks of musical maturity for the band in all ways from instrumental to lyrics. I’m not into heavy rock but this album rocks.The band brought some influences from Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters and others like but they have their own originality. Standing Alone has sold very well in the first 6 weeks of release and Mother Misery are a very well appreciated rock band in Sweeden. It’s a plus for the band and they are one the right way.
