F.U.G. vs Soviet Nuns split vinyl

MPTY ZINE presents for Romania:

Grab your pick-ups from wherever and listen to some good music, for fine ears. FUG and Soviet Nuns planned a split album of 12 which shall amaze you. A combination of 80s punk with some fastcore which shall remind you of DRI, SOD, Youth Brigade, Circle Jerks, Black Flag, Molotov Cocktail, Minor Threat ( and so on and so forth ). The two bands from Palermo ( Italy ) break the actual clichés of HC with their ultrafast and ultra sarcastic songs ( even the well-known character Marty McFly is present in the lyrics ). If you read carefully the lyrics you shall see their philosophy of life: irony as much as it can be and “have fun”. I was dazed by this split and I can declare myself fan of these two bands so get up and listen, it won’t be lost time ( just 22 minutes the entire split album ). Old school HC like back in the times. FUG have 8 printer songs, with even a cover after Adolescents, Word Attack and Soviet Nuns with 10 tracks, from the beginning and to the end just rapid moments, not even a glimpse of blues times. If you are bored of catchy tunes, MTV, of the clichés under which HC is now sold and you want something fast, listen to them !

Nothington vin din San Fracisco si s-au format undeva in 2006 dupa destramarea celor de la Tsunami Bomb. Roads,Bridges and Ruins este cel de-al doilea material al trupei dupa All In (2000), lansat la BYO Records. Un mix de punk cu putin blues si country ce vor aminti de Mike Ness, Tom Waits, Hot Water Music, Gaslight Anthem, Against Me, Lawrence Arms sau Bad Religion.

HELLCAT RECORDS

The Slackers si-au anuntat lansarea noului album ce va purta numele de Great Rocksteady Swindle si va iesi la HellCat Records pe 10 aprilie 2010. Acesta este cel mai nou material al lui Vi Rugerio and Co. ce vine la doi ani distanta de Self Medication.

Dupa numeroase speculatii, iata ca se intampla, legendarii GBH au anuntat lansarea celui de-al 11-lea album: Perfume and Piss pe data de 6 aprilie 2010 la HellCat Records.

Una din cele mai bune trupe de la HellCat Records, Street Dogs si-au anuntat intentia de a intra in studio in februarie pentru a inregistra cel de-al 5-lea album de studio. Trupa va inregistra cu bassist-ul Johnny Rioux ca producator si Rick Barton (chitaristul original de la Dropkick Murphys) co-producator, in studio-ul Blasting Room ( Descendents, Black Flag)

Povestea lor suna cam asa: o gasca nebuna de muzicieni isi faceau veacul intr-un bar unde cantau sub numele de Saloon Soldiers, acolo au intalnit trei fete frumoase: Luise, Dorit si Lotti…restul e istorie.  Bobby Pins and The Saloon Soldiers este trupa cea mai noua de la Mad Butcher. O combinatie mortala de ska, soul si reggae ce te va face sa topai.

H8Piece Records

Stressbomb sunt noua trupa venita la H8Piece Records. O combinatie nebuneasca de punk, trash si hardcore. S-au format undeva in 2005 la initiativa lui Chris Jones si Adam Allard pentru a reinvia spiritul DIY din trupele de punk si hardcore. In 2006 trupa lucreaza cu Michale Graves (ex-Misfits) si cu tobarul Quincy (actual in Murphys Law) la realizarea primului album: Self Medicate, de asemenea au cantat alaturi de Graves in turneul lui pe coasta de est in acelasi an. In 2007 il coopteaza pe Jon Logan la chitara si isi incep un turneu alaturi de American Distress tot pe coasta de est, la scurt timp intra in trupa si Brandon Boyle ca bassist. Ultimul album  Barren Wasteland are piese produse in New York de catre Don Fury (Gorilla Biscuits, CIV, Sick Of It All) si a fost lansat de curand la H8Piece Records. Ca sa va mai faceti o idee despre ei va mai spun ca au cantat cu trupe ca: Casualties, Horrorpops, Leftover Crack sau The Unseen. Se pregatesc si pentru Europa…

ONE STEP RECORDS NEWS

One Step Records vor lansa cel de-al doilea album al celor de la Quartiere Coffee. Albumul se numeste Vibratown si va fi lansat undeva in primavara lui 2010. Si-au anuntat participarea pe acest album nume ca: Elephant Man, Lion D si Sister E (Michelangelo Buonarroti). O combinatie de dancehall, ska, newroots cum ne-au obisnuit cei de la Quartiere Coffee.
